Photos: Intel unveils future technology at IDF 2007

Summary: Intel's announcements at its 2007 Developer Forum in San Francisco centred around the availability of its Penryn processors later this year and future plans for its Nehalem microarchitecture, but
CEO Paul Otellini also used the opening keynote to show off some cool prototypes and other fancy equipment.Intel's Montevina chipset for notebook PCs (the successor to Santa Rosa) is due for release in the middle of 2008. Otellini showed off a demonstration system housing one of the first functional Montevina prototypes, which he described as possibly the ugliest laptop ever. What's so wrong with Perspex? Personally, we think the handwritten label is a nice touch.
